In this workshop we will bring together participants who have solutions for one or more of the following problems: How can mutual understanding be optimized with the help of technology in hospitals where both patients and professionals have varying language skills, cultural backgrounds and cognitive capacities? Can domain ontologies, natural language processing tools, multilingual knowledge-based tools, multilingual terminology resources and other semantic technologies be combined in order to enhance the quality of mutual understanding between humans? Can technology optimize the usability of some resources such as multilingual web apps?
The article examines the peculiarities of the Arabic texts relevant to the modern economic discourse. Studying the language features of the economic texts written in Arabic as a specific subsystem of language activity is approached holistically. The analysis of the given economic texts is conducted through research focused on the essence of these texts, their elements, structure and diachronic aspect. The research is based on sources that include Russian and foreign printed and on-line materials.
This article is devoted to the study of borrowed lexis penetration in the recipient language. The author represents the methods of loan words analysis and their usage in the process of foreign-language communication. The financial and economic terminology is taken as the material of the research. We define the types of lexical borrowing and types of teaching assignments which are designed to help students acquire these terminological units.
