Соломенские мастерские: неизвестная инициатива М.Ф. Якунчиковой по поддержке кустарных промыслов
The paper is a comprehensive study of the Solomenka workshops that operated under the patronage of Maria Fedorovna Yakunchikova from 1891 to 1917. The aim of the article is to rethink the significance of the initiative in the village of Solomenka in the context of Russian artistic culture of the late XIX - early XX century. New data are presented that indicate the high quality and significance of the products of the Solomenka workshops, their Russian and international recognition, which put them on a par with such centres as Abramtsevo and Talashkino. Special attention is paid to the analysis of indirect evidence, such as the reports of the warehouse of handicrafts of the late XIX century, which confirm the high demand for the products of the workshops. The article also updates the figures of M.F. Yakunchikova and N.Y. Davydova as key figures in the development of folk crafts and the reorganisation of creative practices of the period.
