Модели дискредитации политического актора посредством медиа: социологическое измерение

The article provides a sociological substantiation of models of the political actor discreditation by media. The research was based on the political scandals, that took place in Orenburg region regarding the Minister of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism O. Pivunov and the Minister of Forestry and Hunting V. Tonkikh. A set of methods is used: content analysis and discourse analysis of information materials of federal (Perviy Kanal, VGTRK (“Russia 1”), NTV, “RenTV”) and regional TV channels (STRC “Orenburg”, “OrenTV”, “TK-Region”, “ORT Planeta”), federal (“RIA Novosti”, “REGNUM”, “TASS”, “Interfax”) and regional news agencies (“RIA56”, “Orenday”, “Vestirama”, “ProOren”), comments of users of social networks “VKontakte” and “Facebook”, as well as online polls “Trust in Television” (n=400) and “Discreditation of the Political Actor” (n=500) in social online network “VKontakte”. Chronological scope of the study: 2016-2018. Based on the results of the study, two models of the political actor discreditation are defined: direct and indirect. It is concluded, that the facts of the political actors discreditation constitute a stereotype about Russian officials, reinforcing the decline of the image of a civil servant. The author predicts an exacerbation of the problem of trust in the institution of power both at the regional and federal levels.
