The article provides a sociological substantiation of the phenomenon of media mystification by means of pranking and trolling. The study is based on the analysis of the correlation between the strategies of media representation of the consequences of a fire in the SEC “Zimn’aya Vishn’a” in Kemerovo and the reactions of the audience to information. A set of methods is used: content analysis and discourse analysis of information materials of federal TV channels, news agencies, as well as comments of users of social networks “Vkontakte” and “Facebook”. Chronological framework of the study: March-April 2018. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded, that media mystification is a new form of post-truthing of the “agenda”. As a result of the strengthening of the “crisis of confidence” in the “traditional” media and the existence of a number of damaging precedents, construction of a new “alternative” misinforming media reality through social media is observed. Widely used methods of prancing and trolling. The main bet is made on the affective state of the audience, the dialectical search for “truth” (on the principle of “double bottom”). The author determines the motivations of media mystification and possible social consequences, suggests ways of solving the media ecological problem.
The article provides a sociological understanding of the media representation strategies of protest moods on the federal agenda. The subject of consideration were anti-corruption rallies, which took place on March 26, 2017 in 82 cities of the country and gathered more than 92 thousand people. A set of methods was used: content analysis; discourse analysis; methods of mathematical statistics; secondary analysis of sociological research. The base of the research was the materials of Internet portals, the news programs of federal TV channels, as well as the “posts” of social networks users. According to the results of the study, only one Internet portal (“Meduza.io”) and one television channel (“Dozhd’”) followed a strategy of detailed coverage of rallies against corruption. The conclusion is made, that the existing media picture will strengthen the degree of the audience distrust to the “traditional” media, strengthen the representatives positions of civil journalism – bloggers and ordinary users of social networks, – which reflect the “picture of the day”, devoid of engagement. As a result, they can potentially develop a high “credit of trust” from the audience.
The article provides a sociological substantiation of models of the political actor discreditation by media. The research was based on the political scandals, that took place in Orenburg region regarding the Minister of Physical Culture, Sport and Tourism O. Pivunov and the Minister of Forestry and Hunting V. Tonkikh. A set of methods is used: content analysis and discourse analysis of information materials of federal (Perviy Kanal, VGTRK (“Russia 1”), NTV, “RenTV”) and regional TV channels (STRC “Orenburg”, “OrenTV”, “TK-Region”, “ORT Planeta”), federal (“RIA Novosti”, “REGNUM”, “TASS”, “Interfax”) and regional news agencies (“RIA56”, “Orenday”, “Vestirama”, “ProOren”), comments of users of social networks “VKontakte” and “Facebook”, as well as online polls “Trust in Television” (n=400) and “Discreditation of the Political Actor” (n=500) in social online network “VKontakte”. Chronological scope of the study: 2016-2018. Based on the results of the study, two models of the political actor discreditation are defined: direct and indirect. It is concluded, that the facts of the political actors discreditation constitute a stereotype about Russian officials, reinforcing the decline of the image of a civil servant. The author predicts an exacerbation of the problem of trust in the institution of power both at the regional and federal levels.
This article analyzes the unique synergy of creative activity of ETA Hoffmann as a manifestation of deep-rooted allusive relations within the multifaceted world of creative personality. The author shows how the writer compares and combines different kinds of art: the composer's art and creative writing, the pictorial art and the art of speech – and this fusion is by no means arbitrary. The author points out that a creative interpretation of the impact of the arts on the human anticipated many modern trends in psychology (including the psychology of creativity).
The article deals with the topic of the status of domestic temporary labour migrants, or otkhodniks, in their home local community. Perception of otkhodniks by others and their self-perception are discussed. The results are based on 349 in-depth interviews with otkhodniks and other local residents. On the base of interviews we can conclude that differences in the view of life between otkhodniks and others have an impact on local solidarity.
The article is devoted to the evaluation of the quality and the curriculum of professional engineering education in Russia, which was given by technical specialists, engineers and programmers. The article provides an overview of key publications on the topic and specifics of engineering education and its reforms in the country and abroad. Respondents talked about the value of getting the fundamental knowledge and the need for a broad and practical education for future engineers and technical specialists. Also, many respondents stressed the need to link education and practical work. The article based on results of twenty interviews with engineers and technical specialists.
Over the past year, representation strategies of the political image of the current USA President, D. Trump, in the Russian television field has undergone drastic changes. If at the end of 2016 (during the pre-election race with H. Clinton, known for his tough anti-Russian position), federal television channels associated with the arrival of D. Trump to power the improvement of diplomatic relations between countries, then in 2017 (after the election, the first statements and operations as President) media controllers began to operate with the rhetoric of danger, thereby producing in the minds of viewers the threat of inciting the new Cold war. Based on the results of the study, the author comes to the conclusion, that the phenomenality is due to the fact, that to date there have been no precedents of the complete transformation of the media representation strategies of political images (from the rhetoric “Trump – “the dark horse”, ”Trump is our ally” to ”Trump – aggressor”, “Trump – a threat to Russia and the world”).
