The purpose of this article is to provide an insight into the masters of urban entertainment in the second half of the 18th century through the lens of an autobiographical account by a resident of the city of Tula, titled "The Stories of Abram Bulygin, a Citizen of Tula, about His Wonderful Adventures, Hunts, Amusements, and Work" (late 18th century). This article focuses on Abram Bulygin, a representative of this type of activity. It explores in detail the involvement of a Tula citizen in the organization of fireworks, which were an integral part of urban entertainment in Russia during the Catherine the Great era, and demonstrates the potential for the formation of groups of such "masters."
