De titulis Chersonesi Tauricae IV
С. 208–222.
Shelov-Kovedyaev F. V.
The paper presents the detailed publication of the unique instrument in the ancient culture of Chersonesos Tauricus. That’s one of two most ancient arachne in all the Greek world, which can be dated from last quarter of IV B.C. The letters on both sides of the sundial are interpreted as the symbols of degrees in which the astronomical observations and calculations must be made.

The monograph is devoted to the autobiographical documents of poets and writers of the Silver Age: A.A. Blok, Andrei Bely, L.N. Andreev, D.S. Merezhkovsky, M.M. Prishvin, I.A. Bunin, and others. The authors of the articles examine the stylistic originality of letters, memoirs, autobiographies, diaries, and notebooks, and determine their significance in the culture of the ...

The calculations by mathematical model of the RF plasma flow at a pressure of 13.3–133 Pa at Knudsen Kn⩽0.1 is performed. The model is based on Navier–Stokes equations together with the continuum model for electron and metastable components of the RF plasma taking into account non-maxwellian EEDF. Results of plasma flow calculations for electrons density, distributions of ...

Context. Long gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) are characterized by a brief gamma-ray flash followed by a longer-lasting multiwavelength afterglow. The basic mechanism is largely understood, and the early afterglow evolution often shows complex features that provide crucial insights into the transition between prompt and afterglow phases. Aims. We present a detailed analysis of GRB 210312B, detected ...

We present measurements of optical turbulence (OT) power inside the telescope dome using an instrument registering fluctuations of intensity of a bright star at a plane conjugated to −2km below the pupil of the telescope—Domecam. The measurements were conducted at the 2.5-m telescope of the Caucasian Mountain Observatory of the Sternberg Astronomical Institute, Lomonosov Moscow ...

Accurate photometry in astronomical surveys is challenged by image artefacts, which affect measurements and
degrade data quality. Due to the large amount of available data, this task is increasingly handled using machine
learning algorithms, which often require a labelled training set to learn data patterns. We present an expertlabelled dataset of 1127 artefacts with 1213 labels from ...

The techniques for reconstructing the altitude profiles of the optical turbulence (OT) intensity using the data on the distortion of the front of a light wave passing through the atmosphere are considered and implemented. They involve an observation of single bright stars (0m–2m) with a small 250–300 mm telescope equipped with a Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor. The ...

This text reveals and publishes the materials from the review file of the writer Alexander Ivanovich Ertel for the first time. Comments on the content of the source are presented, as are reflections on the genres and formats of (auto)biographical texts of the late 19th century. The text also highlights the issue of "political unreliability" ...

In this article, using the example of the epistolary legacy of the writer and publicist Alexander Ivanovich Ertel, the trajectory of archiving personal collections is traced: from collecting, curation to publication of letters. The question of the social significance of epistolary practice in the post-reform era is raised through the study of the substantive and ...

Accumulating institutional histories, nuclear memoirs, declassified files, and transcripts of interviews with nuclear veterans, this chapter discusses feminization of the human calculations as a gender bias in governing the Soviet Atomic Project in the 1940s and 1950s. The authors focus on both huge participation of young women in the performing of voluminous calculations for the ...

We present a signal-foreground separation algorithm for filtering observational data to extract spectral distortions of the cosmic microwave background (CMB). Our linear method, called the least response method (LRM), is based on the idea of simultaneously minimizing the response to all possible foregrounds with poorly defined spectral shapes and random noise while maintaining a constant ...

We present the software aware for automatic scheduling the observations with the ground based network of optical telescopes GRB-IKI-FuN (extendable on other facilities). It was designed to provide the optimal coverage of large uncertainty contours of LIGO/Virgo/KAGRA (LVK) gravitational wave events, and gamma-ray bursts (GRBs), detected by space missions, which is crucial for fast look-up ...

In this article, the author proposes to consider the archive of private correspondence of a former seminary teacher, a well-known theologian, as a source for studying non-traditional forms of public space in late Soviet society. The abdication of Alexander Osipov took place during the era of Khrushchev's anti-religious campaign and caused a great public outcry. ...
