Социальная идентичность как предиктор межгрупповых отношений: обзор зарубежной литературы
The article focuses on the association between social identity and intergroup relations. Intergroup bias resulting from group membership plays an important role in intergroup attitudes and remains a relevant issue in social psychological research. It has been proposed that favorable and unfavorable attitudes toward members of different groups depend on group perceptions, in-group factors and context. Therefore, changing the perceptions of group frames, complying with group attitudes and accepting intergroup differences might facilitate reducing bias. Based on the existing literature we concluded that increased group category inclusiveness and in-group influences affect positively intergroup relations, but do not eliminate unfavorable reactions toward out-groups, while group diversity has the potential to diminish intergroup bias and improve intergroup dialogue if certain preconditions are met.
