In the article the factors having impact on a state and development of the pension system of the country are defined. The analysis of structure and dynamics of the income of the state pension fund, including distribution of contributions to mandatory pension insurance on subjects of the Russian Federation is carried out. Multidimensional classification of regions by the aggregated factors defining level of receipt of the income in the pension system is offered.
