‘Balkan Hospitality Opens Doors: Studying Dialects on the Verge of Extinction
You cannot study spoken dialects from books. Instead, you need to go to a village, seek out its elders, and earn the trust of local residents before you can record hours of spontaneous stories. This is how Natalia Muravleva, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Humanities, conducts her research. Her internship in Serbia continued her long-standing study of dialects spoken by Macedonian settlers. In this interview, she discusses how diaspora cultural centres help researchers reach informants, why native speakers need to be interviewed only in their own language (otherwise, as she puts it, they may 'break'), and how a single field season helped her finalise her monograph. She also shares warm memories of autumn in Belgrade and of colleagues with whom grammar can be discussed in three languages at once.

Scientists Train Neural Network to Generate Process Plans from 3D Models
Researchers at the HSE FCS AI and Digital Science Institute have developed CAD2TechSpec, a framework that converts 3D models of mechanical parts into machining process plans—step-by-step instructions for machine tools. The solution aims to reduce the time required for the design and preparation of technical process documentation in mechanical engineering, aircraft manufacturing, and other high-tech industries. The study findings have been published in PeerJ Computer Science.

Государственные закупки инноваций в России

Вопросы государственного и муниципального управления. 2024. № 2. С. 129–156.
Kashin D., Вилкова М. Н., Заворохина А. П., Petrova P., Подгоренко Ю. П., Tillashaikhov D.

The research focuses on the analysis of open data on public procurement of innovative products and on procurement of research and development services (R&D). The principle of stimulating innovations is enshrined in the legislation governing public procurement. However, the complexity of testing products for innovation criteria, the differences in classifying products as innovative and the specifics of conceptual and categorical framework in this sphere, indicate the peculiarities of the implementation of the principle of stimulating innovation by contracting authorities regulated by 44-FL and by 223-FL. This research empirically answers the following questions: what procured products in the market are considered by contracting authorities to be innovative, does innovative public procurement have specific characteristics, what types, and categories of procuring entities conduct procurement for innovation? We reveal that the procurement of innovations is related to the law by which the organization conduct purchases, as well as to the organizational and legal form of the customer. The procurement of innovations is also influenced by the method of determining the supplier, the price of the product and the subject of the purchase. The results of the study show heterogeneity in the procurement of innovations by Russian customers and link this heterogeneity with the differences in the procurement legislation.

Повестка устойчивого развития после 2030 года: возможные развилки
Makarov I. A., Россия в глобальной политике 2026 Т. 24 № 4 (140) С. 164–182

Kilinc-Ata N., Warong M. M., SN Business & Economics 2026 Vol. 6 Article 326(2026)

This systematic review aims to synthesise the existing literature on BMA by mapping how the construct is defined, what drives it, and what typological patterns can be identified. Following the SPAR-4-SLR ...
