The Russian public procurement system makes extensive use of information technologies, which have been gradually introduced in the past twenty years. However, the lack of appropriate regulatory framework severely limits further digitalization in public procurement, particularly the use of artificial intelligence (AI). Using artificial intelligence in public procurement has significant potential. The article discusses the possibilities of using AI in public procurement, as well as the influence of artificial intelligence on the efficiency of procurement procedures.
