This data book presents the results of statistical surveys of innovation processes in the Russian economy. The methodology for the main indicators is based on the latest recommendations of international organisations in statistical measurement of innovations (Oslo Manual, 4th edition) and Community Innovation Surveys in the EU countries.
The main section is devoted to the characteristics of the manufacturing industry. The data book provides statistical data reflecting the innovative activity of enterprises, sales of product and business process innovations, input and output of innovative activities. The cooperation relations of enterprises, economic and other factors hampering innovation, environmental innovations, and characteristics of innovation-oriented enterprises are considered in detail. International comparisons on a wide range of indicators are presented. The information is systematized by types of economic activity, taking into account the level of technological efficiency of industries. The main indicators of innovation activity in the service sector, agriculture and construction are considered in special sections. The publication contains data from special monitoring, revealing the problems of import substitution of means of production and the provision of innovative organizations with highly qualified specialists.
The data book includes information of the Federal State Statistics Service, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), European Commission, Eurostat, national statistical agencies of foreign countries, as well as methodological and analytical studies of the HSE Institute for Statistical Studies and Economics of Knowledge.
Official statistical information on Russia is published without taking into account statistical information on the Donetsk People's Republic, Lugansk The People's Republic, Zaporizhia and Kherson regions.
