Количественный сравнительный анализ сентимента прямой речи и нарратива на материалах Корпуса русского рассказа
The article is devoted to measuring the emotional component of Russian small prose of the early XX century. On the basis of a random sample of 70 stories written in 1900-1930, with the help of the Dostoevsky mood analysis library, the manifestation of sentiment in the literary text was analyzed. The stories were divided into two groups: stories from the 1st person and stories from the 3rd person. Each story, in turn, was segmented into fragments of two types: the speech of the characters and the speech of the author, which were analyzed separately. The results of the study showed that regardless of the type of fragment and the face of the narrative, the proportion of text fragments with a neutral sentiment exceeds the negative one, and positive fragments are encountered least often. As for the intensity of sentiment, there is a positive correlation between negative and positive indicators of the author’s speech, regardless of the type of narration in the story.
