The publication presents key indicators characterizing higher education in the Russian Federation. It considers the positions of Russian universities in international rankings. The authors present data that characterize the dynamics of organizations implementing higher education programs, the network of the country's leading universities, financing of higher education, educational and scientific activities of universities, as well as their infrastructure, and export of higher education. For individual indicators, comparisons are made between universities of different categories - federal, national research and flagship universities. In preparing the publication, data from the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Rosstat, the Federal Treasury, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) were used.
