Исследование навыков фонематического восприятия у детей-дошкольников в возрасте 5-6 лет
С. 901–905.
In this study, we investigated the phonemic perception skills in preschool children 5-to‑6 years of age. These skills were assessed using three subtests of the RuToPP (Russian Test of Phonological Processing) battery. At the first phase of data collection, 35 typically developing preschool children were tested. Additionally, the non-verbal intelligence was assessed using Raven’s Color Progressive Matrices. The paper will present the results for each of the phonological subtests used in the study, the results of comparative and correlation analysis, as well as the distribution of correct and incorrect answers depending on the characteristics of the different probes in each subtest.

Objective: Emotions are known to play a vital role in the lives of children; however, not all children possess an equal understanding of emotions. This suggests the influence of cognitive abilities and functions on the development of emotion understanding during different developmental phases. This study aims to explore the link between non-verbal intelligence and emotion understanding ...

This study is aimed at identifying the time intervals of dynamic speech for the subsequent analysis of the evoked EEG potentials. Understanding of exact time intervals will allow to make better use of pattern classification possibilities for BCI (brain-computer interface). The study involved 7 subjects with the following stimuli: 7 phonemes (A - [a], B ...

Research addressing the imbalance between aural and written modalities has suggested that consistent language practice involving reading and writing activities enhances lexical access through that specific modality. In individuals with well-developed reading skills, word meaning is accessed through the parallel activation of orthographic and phonological lexicons. Conversely, in individuals with poor reading skills, the orthographic ...

Introduction. The existing speech production schemes do not fully reflect the interaction of speech perception systems and one’s own internal speech. The study is aimed at comparing the connection between internal pronunciation and phonemic perception using psychophysi-ological methods. Methods. Twenty-five people took part in the EEG study. The subjects were offered auditory stimuli, and then ...

Rapid acquisition of new words and construction of large vocabularies is a unique capacity of developing human brain. This process is to a large degree mediated by a neurocognitive mechanism known as «fast mapping» (FM) which allows the child to quickly map new words onto neural representations after even a single exposure to them, using ...

To diagnose mild cognitive impairment, it is crucial to understand whether subjective cognitive complaints reflect objective cognitive deficits. This question has mostly been investigated in the memory domain, with mixed results. Our study was one of the first to address it for language. In the mental lexicon words are connected to each other
through various paths. We explore how a word’s
representation might be accessed, depending on its
syntactic properties and shared formal properties with
other members of a morphological family. Morphological
families of verbs in Russian are primarily related through
processes of prefixation and suffixation. Based on the
changes that these two processes introduce ...

Converging behavioral and neuroimaging evidence suggests parallel activation of native (L1) and second (L2) language codes in bilinguals, with the modulation of the N400 as the most likely neural correlate of such L1-L2 interplay at lexico-semantic level. The frontal aslant tract (FAT) is a white-matter tract connecting the inferior frontal gyrus (IFG) and the supplementary motor complex (SMC). Damage to either component of the network causes spontaneous speech dysfluency, indicating its critical role in language production. However, spontaneous speech dysfluency may stem from various lower-level linguistic deficits, precluding inferences about the nature ...
