Связь сородительства с супружеским взаимодействием и отношением к ребенку дошкольного возраста
In modern Russian society the role of the family in the formation of a child's personality and in his/her future life is increasingly emphasized. Modern parents tend to consciously approach their parenthood, fathers are becoming more and more involved in the process of child rearing, respectively, the issue of interaction between parents, coordination of their parental positions is becoming more and more relevant. Since the 1970s, Western psychology has used the concept of coparenting to denote this notion of shared parenting. In Russia, this phenomenon has been studied rather little, despite its high relevance. Now the involvement in coparenting of both mothers and fathers occurs not only at the emotional but also at the value levels. This article is devoted to analyzing the phenomenon of coparenting in Russian families raising preschool children and the relationship of coparenting with interaction in other family subsystems: in marriage and in child-parent relationships. Different authors understand coparenting as the distribution of roles and communication between people who are primarily responsible for the care and upbringing of the child. The study involved 95 married couples (190 people) with children of preschool age (from 3 to 7 years old). The main methodology used was the «Coparental Relationship Scale» (Feinberg et al., 2012), in the author's Russian-language adaptation. In addition, the «Marital Adjustment Scale» (DAS, G.B. Spanier, 1976, adapted by Y.M. Polyakova and co - authors, 2018), the questionnaire «The nature of interaction between spouses in conflict situations» (Y.E. Aleshina, L.Y. Gozman, 1987), and the questionnaire «Parent- child interaction» (I.M. Markovskaya, 2005). The results of the study showed that a high level of coparenting is associated with greater satisfaction with child-parent and marital relations, as well as with more constructive ways of conflict resolution in the couple. Differences in gender perception of coparenting were found. It was found that coparenting is a predictor of attitudes toward the child and marital relations.
