The collection consists of articles by Russian and foreign scholars who participated in the international Round Table organized by the Center for Vietnam and ASEAN Studies, IFES, held on 19—20 May, 2021 and dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the formation of the Vietnam Communist Party (02.1930). The authors focus on the results of the XIII Congress of the VCP as a new milestone in the history of the party. The articles are grouped in three sections. The first one analyses the Communist Party’s domestic and foreign policy, its strategy and ideological problems. The second presents socio-economic and demographic trends, development outcomes and prospects, as well as challenges for the VCP. The third describes the Party’s cultural policy and its role in shaping national patriotic sentiments and educating young people. The attention of the authors of the articles is focused on the evaluation of the implementation of internal and external development goals and the achievement of social and economic progress under the guidance of the VCP. The collection is focused both on scientists, teachers and students studying Vietnam, practical experts specifically involved in the development of relations with Vietnam, as well as a wide range of readers.
