“Цръковь ледѧна, а олтарь огнень”: к вопросу об источниках «Сказания Анфилога царя о святой литургии
С. 79–88.
This study is an attempt to interpret the riddle „The altar is full of fire and the church is made of ice; the altar will go out and the church will melt”, which was found among the 11th–12th centuries graffiti in St. Sophia in Kiev. The focus of the analysis is the structure of the riddle, the history of its genesis as well as possible sources of images united in the text. As one of the sources the author suggests The Legend of Macarius of Rome, while the King Anfilog's Vision of the Divine Lithurgy that could supposedly be considered a source is to be regarded by the author as a secondary story that incorporates the text of the riddle already existing at the time.
