Article is devoted to relationship of ROC and Russian state. The author clarifies some thesis about role of orthodox believers in political process in modern Russia and reveals the results of research is devoted to party preferences of orthodox believers. The scientist claims that "devout" believers don't vote for “United Russia” while "nominal" believers, on the contrary give active support this party. The author opens the reasons of being divergences in electoral preferences of orthodox believers.
