Гражданская война в Судане: внутренняя динамика и роль внешних акторов
The article is devoted to the civil war in Sudan, which has been going on for more than two years and has caused enormous casualties and destruction throughout the country. The vast majority of schools and hospitals have been destroyed or put out of operation, which has had an extremely negative impact on the development of the social sphere in the country. Agriculture, industry, and trade have been largely destroyed. In Darfur, according to some reports, genocide against certain non‑Arab ethnic groups has taken place. The aim of this work is to examine the main trends in the civil war in Sudan, with a particular focus on the use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which have made an important contribution to the beginning of a cautious turning point in favor of the government forces. In addition, the task is to consider the role of various external actors who are actively involved in the civil war in Sudan and support different sides of the conflict. Thus, the rebels from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are supported by the UAE, while the Sudanese government army has until recently received the most active support from Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Turkey. This study is becoming particularly relevant given the growing destabilization of the entire Sahel region — the region where part of Sudan’s territory is located, and which is experiencing the most intense combat operations.
