The article is devoted to the research of ideological and political basis in the historical works of N.M. Karamzin and S.N. Glinka. Their versions of Russian history determined traditional Russian values as conservative, based on monarchism, religiosity, patriarchal model of society. The historical concepts of Karamzin and Glinka predetermined the conservative ideas of the second quarter of the 19th century.
