The article deals the transformation of genealogical practices in the context of digitalization of the memory of the deceased. The article shows a special role of digital necropolystics, an interdisciplinary field covering the preservation, visualization and representation of family graves using digital technologies. Using the example of Russian and foreign cases, the forms of genealogical volunteerism, the creation of memorial databases, the development of online services and the use of artificial intelligence for memorialization are considered. The ethical, cultural, and technological aspects of digital memory practices are analyzed, as well as their role in shaping ideas about death, immortality, and family identity in modern society in Russia and foreign countries.
