Коридоры возможностей и рисков. МТК «Север – Юг» в контексте геополитики транспорта Большой Евразии
The article examines the International North–South Transport Corridor (INSTC) in the context of shaping the Eurasian transport framework and Russia’s spatial development geostrategy. It explores the historical and contemporary foundations of meridional connectivity as a basis for the long-term stability of the Eurasian space. The study argues that the INSTC can become a key element of a new north–south axis linking Russia with the markets of Asia, the Middle East, and India, while its implementation must be integrated with domestic socio-economic and infrastructure development goals. The paper outlines key principles of the Greater Eurasia logistics strategy, emphasizing the shift of infrastructure development to Siberia, the revival of inland waterways, synergy with China’s Belt and Road Initiative, and the involvement of neighboring states in the strategic development of the corridor. Particular attention is given to the concept of Siberianization, the decentralization of national governance functions, and the development of Arctic and transpolar routes as continuations of the meridional transport network. The article concludes that synchronizing latitudinal and meridional directions, prioritizing internal connectivity, and formulating a long-term geostrategy are essential for ensuring Russia’s spatial resilience and influence across Greater Eurasia.
