Construction of an Interactive Aviation English Class Based on Virtual Reality Technology

Virtual Reality (VR), as an innovative teaching technology, demonstrates potential for aviation English teaching, particularly in meeting its need for precise terminology and immersive experiences. This paper presents conceptual frameworks and structural designs for VR-based interactive aviation English classrooms to address existing teaching shortcomings. Theories of psychology, pedagogy, linguistics, and relevant VR technology researches underscores its positive influence on language learning, attributed to its immersive, interactive, and intuitive qualities. A tripartite interaction model (encompassing human-computer, teacher-student, student student interactions) and five implementation steps including team formation, curriculum design, system building, curriculum implementation, and evaluation optimization are totally proposed in this study. Despite VR's educational benefits, challenges such as high costs, technological adaptability, ethical and health concerns, and underdeveloped evaluation mechanism must be tackled. The study suggests cost optimization, modular monitoring, equitable resource policies, health guidelines, and cross-sectoral collaboration to bolster VR's application in aviation English teaching
