ПЕРСОНИФИКАЦИИ В ИКОНОГРАФИИ ДНЕЙ ТВОРЕНИЯ В ЗАПАДНОЕВРОПЕЙСКОМ ИСКУССТВЕ XI-XIII ВЕКОВ: ОТ МИФОЛОГИИ К КАЛЕНДАРЮ И ОБРАТНО
In Western-European art XI-XIII cent The Days of Creation images are filled with personifications of diverse realia — the very Days of Creation, the elements of the very world created etc. The article is concerned with origins of these personifications on murals and book miniatures of that time. Among other things, we will talk about using mythological creatures and calendar cycle personifications in the Days of Creation iconography. Also we will mention correlation between these images and the text of Genesis. Is it possible, for characters of very different origins of different iconographical genres.
