Конструирование опыта суррогатного материнства: эмоциональная работа и профессионализация в биографическом нарративе
Using the example of a biographical interview with a surrogate mother from Russia, the article explores how a woman constructs her experience within the framework of commercial reproductive labor. The analysis shows that the key strategies of her narrative are the professionalization of her activity and emotional detachment from the child she carries. In this process, the central figures onto whom all emotions and meanings are transferred are the biological parents. Despite the dominant discourse of conscious choice and financial motivation, the experience of surrogate motherhood requires intense emotional work and complex negotiation of conflicting social roles. The conducted biographical interview is also considered as an example of research work with a sensitive field.
