Анализ студенческих ошибок и их причин: кейс онлайн-тренажёра по академическому письму на английском языке
Currently, a substantial part of foreign language courses in higher education are implemented in a blended format. Offline classes are complemented with tasks in a digital environment, including self-study tasks in electronic trainers. The difficulties encountered by students in the self-study process may be due to both the discipline peculiarities and the specifics of independent task completion on a digital platform. The paper analyses the causes of difficulties students face and the mistakes they make while completing self-study tasks within the “Academic English Writing” course. We suggest a classification of mistakes, based on which the main difficulties and their sources are identified; their types and the ratio of correct and incorrect answers are presented in a table. The analysis revealed that the success in task completion is influenced by the limitations of the platform and the specifics of the study format. Based on the findings, recommendations are given on the formulation and choice of online self-study tasks.
