Antike Quellen der mittelalterlichen Geschichte über den Fuchs und J. Goethes Gedicht "Reineke Fuchs"

Der Artikel stellt einen Versuch dar, einen der wahrscheinlichen Gründe für J. Goethes Berufung auf die mittelalterliche Handlung des Fuchses während der Zeit des "Weimarer Klassik" zu untersuchen - die signifikante Ähnlichkeit der Handlung von "Reineke Fuchs" mit dem ersten antiken Beispiel eines überlieferten Tierepos — "Froschmäusekrieg", das als Parodie auf die Texte Homers gilt (1794 erschien J. Goethes Epos "Reineke Fuchs", das die Übersetzung und Verarbeitung früherer Texte über den Fuchs darstellte). Goethes besonderes Interesse dieser Zeit an den Gedichten Homers und ihren deutschen Übersetzungen von J. Voß, die Entwicklungsgeschichte der mittelalterliche Sujet um den Fuchs sowie Goethes besondere Sicht auf das Wesen der Parodie in der antiken Literatur werden berücksichtigt.
