Проблемы коллективного нравственного совершенствования в русской философской традиции
Russian ethical tradition closely relates the idea of moral perfection to the role of the collective in the process of moral evolution, hence makes the ideas of moral development of the moral agent dependent on the understanding of social progress. The article analyzes the interpretations of social, cultural and ethical conditions of moral perfection of society and the place of moral individual in the doctrine of V.S. Solovyov, Russian cosmism and Marxist-Leninist doctrine. The authors reveal the Russian philosophers' common requirement for the development of moral personality in accordance with the understanding of the ultimate goal of collective perfection. The teleological character of Russian philosophical doctrines largely determines the subordinate position of moral individuals. Related to this are ethical problems of full or partial implementation of the above moral doctrines, internal contradictions of their theoretical settings. The understanding of 'collectivism' as an ethical value with no alternative subordination of the individual to the goals of society is critically examined, which is very relevant in the framework of today's ideas about culture-forming values.
