This edited volume is the result of the All-Russian scientific conference with international participation held in 2023, in which, in addition to Russian scientists, researchers from the Republic of Belarus took an active part. The articles in the collection analyze the socio-economic progress of Africa and its growing role in the world, the development trajectories of the African continent and its subregions in the 21st century, internal and external factors of economic growth, pan-African and sub-regional development programs, global and regional challenges and threats. Considerable attention is paid to the study of the place of the continent in the strategies of the main world centers of power and their African policies, as well as the prospects for the development of Russian-African interaction in the context of increasing turbulence in the international situation.
