The collection presents the texts of reports and materials of the participants of the 1st International Conference on Korean Studies of Bucheon University in Tashkent “Korean Diaspora in Central Asia: History, Culture and Social Life. On the 85th Anniversary of Koreans Living in Central Asia”. The speakers include well-known researchers on the Korean diaspora in the CIS from the UK, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, the USA, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and South Korea. The reports are presented at three sessions: 1. Modern Approaches to Understanding the History of Koreans in Eurasia. 2. Korean Culture in Central Asia. 3. Identity and Self-Consciousness of Koreans in the CIS. The materials of the collection are intended for Korean scholars, historians, sociocultural anthropologists, as well as all those interested in the ethnic history of Central Asia.
