Authors analyze the tourist flow between the Russian Federation and the countries of the Central Asia. In view of the sanction realities in which the Russian Federation is forced to operate, there is a reorientation of the outbound tourist flow of Russians from the European to the Asian market. A similar situation is observed in terms of tourist arrivals to Russia. Since 2014 to 2022 the number of citizens of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan coming to the Russian Federation for tourism purposes has increased both in absolute and relative terms. These changes affected the activities of Russian collective accommodation facilities and the structure of foreign citizens accommodated by country of citizenship in the federal districts of the Russian Federation. In most federal districts, the countries of Central Asia are in the TOP-10 in terms of the number of citizens placed in the collective accommodation facilities.
