This publication presents the materials of the IV October International Scientific Conference on the Problems of Theoretical Economics, dedicated to the topic "Segmentation of economic science and problems of synthesis". After reviewing and appropriate selection, the materials of sixteen reports are included in this collection, in which such important issues of economic science as segmentation of economic knowledge and general problems of synthesis, the place of economics in the system of social sciences, as well as the synthesis of socio-scientific knowledge were discussed. The research analyzes the feasibility of synthesizing various theories in the context of institutional economics. Particular attention is paid to the problems of interdisciplinary research, including the prospects and limitations of scientific cooperation and synthesis in economic theory.
