Сравнительный анализ возможностей WoS и eLibrary для анализа библиографических сетей

The article provides a comparative analysis of the scientific publication databases Web of Science Core Collection and eLibrary in order to highlight their features and capabilities for analyzing the bibliographic networks of Russian authors. The relevance of the study is determined by the need to adapt and develop approaches and tools for collecting, preprocessing and analyzing bibliographic data in Russian. The analysis is carried out based on a comparison of data sets of publications in scientific journals in the field of sociology, collected for the period 2010-2021. The grounds for comparing the two databases are identified, characterizing the process of working with data, the resulting data arrays and the networks produced from them. Analysis of their constituent parameters makes it possible to find intersections between data arrays and results of data analysis. Conclusions are drawn about the relationship between the two databases, their capabilities and limitations on use as the main (sole) source of information, and recommendations are given on their use for the study of domestic science.
