The article is devoted to some editions of Pindar's odes, which especially influenced the study of the works of this great ancient Greek poet. Beginning with the edition of Alda Manutius, which was published in Venice in 1513, and ending with the edition of the Pythian Odes edited by Bruno Gentili in 2012, the progressive development of the idea what a critical edition of the ancient Greek author, namely Pindar, should look like. In conclusion, it is proposed to use modern technologies in future editions that allow creating relief maps on which researcher can place the places indicated by Pindar, thus creating a visual sacred topography of this author, which is expressed in the visualization of the ancient Greek urban space.
