Орфографическая вариантность паралимпийской лексики в современном английском языке
The article presents the typology of orthographic variation of Paralympic lexical units in the system of modern English language. The author has identified six groups of symptomatic phenomena, which can be related with two basic types of variation: 1) cases, connected with the graphic explication of differences between British and American variants of English, which refer to the type of variation of standard language norm within the scale “germanization vs. loyalty”; 2) phenomena connected with varied written forms of a prefix para- and initial letters of Paralympic lexical units which differ within the scale of “composition vs. isolation” (uniting the elements of complex words in a compound vs. parceling) and «nomen proprium vs. nomen appellativum» (onymization vs. disonymization).
