In a collective scientific study with the participation of literary critics and linguists from different cities of Russia, Belarus, Germany, Italy, Serbia and China an attempt was made to identify the main names that are most significant for Russian poetry of the late twentieth century, as well as to prove their originality and significance for the national literary tradition. The book considers various aspects of the work of Gennady Aigi, Gennady Alekseev, Leonid Aronzon, Iosif Brodsky, Vsevolod Nekrasov, Genrikh Sapgir, Viktor Sosnora and Igor Kholin, the greatest poets of their time, who reflected the main trends in the development of Russian poetry at the end of the second millennium.
