The whitepaper represents a visualization (graphic supplement) of the scientifi c result obtained from conducted sociological research «Prospects and problems of training foreign citizens in higher education institutions of the Russian Federation». Based on the research outcomes, a monograph «Training of foreign citizens in Russian higher education organizations» was prepared.» The whitepaper presentssummarized results of the research done by «Sociocenter» in 2018–2019. The results include of sociological monitoring of opinions more than 4000 international students regarding Russian higher education. The study is completed with content analysis of websites and research of real practices of processing requests from international applicants by employees of the relevant services of leading Russian universities. The results obtained allowed us to identify the reasons for international students to choose Russian education, specifi c universities and specializations, assess their level of satisfaction with the educational process, point out the nature of adaptation to the conditions of study and accommodationin Russia, as well as evaluate the eff ectiveness of diff erent mechanisms for attracting international students to Russian universities and identify the economic eff ects of attracting them.
