The article presents a special issue of the magazine Chelovek dedicated to the creative legacy of the outstanding Russian philosopher Valery Alexandrovich Podoroga (1946-2020). Valery Podoroga has written more than twenty monographs, in which his innovative approach to the analysis of modern philosophical thought, political philosophy, literature, and cinema is presented in the development. Among them are the two-volume work The Second Screen. S.M. Eisenstein and the Cinema of Violence, awarded the V. Kandinsky Prize in 2015, and the multi-volume fundamental research Mimesis. Materials on the Analytical Anthropology of Literature (2006-2011), which includes a book of the author's theoretical comments on his method of analysis — Anthropograms. The Experience of Self-Criticism (2017).
