Кантианский проект вечного мира в контексте современных этико-политических концепций войны
The article raises the question of the modern meaning of Kant's doctrine of war. The context and content of the key provisions of Kant's concept of pepetual peace are considered. At the same time, we note the ideological relationship between Kant and previous authors who made proposals on the need to build alliances of states as a means of countering war. The events that served as the historical background for the conceptualization of Kant's project are also indicated: the French revolution and the wars caused by it, the peace treaty between France and Prussia. The second part shows the growing attention to Kant's ethical and political philosophy in the second half of the twentieth century. At this time, representatives of a wide variety of political and ethical schools, cosmopolitanism, internationalism, and liberalism, pay attention to Kant's legacy and try to relate their own theoretical constructions to it. In this part, it was shown how Kant's idea of war is involved in Jurgen Habermas, Ulrich Beck, Mary Kaldor, Brian Orend. Special attention is paid to the last author. Orend proves the need to interpret Kant as a representative of the just war theory. In addition, focusing on Kant, Orend develops a new section in just war theory, the concept of jus post bellum, and also legitimizes regime change as the goal of just war.
