The study is dedicated to the corpus of texts of the XV-XVII centuries – the socalled Obihodniki (Ordinaries), books of ordinaries, charters, dininig ordinaries, and other works that organize the life of a Russian monastery. The variety of topics of these works (from statutory guidelines governing services and the prayer rules of the monastery, to recommendations for the management and accounting of monastic property), the purpose and application of these texts make these monuments a valuable source for studying such fields as the history of Russian literary language, historical stylistics of the Russian language, historical lexicology and historical morphology of the Russian language.
