This article considers the phenomenon of commenting with Asian specifics. Commentary is a representative genre of the Internet discourse and reveals unique forms in the Chinese Internet space. The purpose of our study is to identify the genre, language and style features of Chinese danmucomments. The novelty of the article is due to the lack of knowledge of this phenomenon. We consider necessary identifying the characteristics of danmu as a representative of the Internet commentary genre, as well as finding linguistic and stylistic features of this discourse. The study is relevant because the danmu commentary is of great potential for the expression of a virtual linguistic personality, and, therefore, provides a versatile material for modeling a virtual linguistic worldview of the users in the Chinese segment of the Internet. As a result, the author proposes the genre features of danmu, considerable attention being paid to anonymity, the length and location of the commentary, and communicative intention.
