«Une révolution trahie» : le message secret d’un livre d’Arkadii Gaidar «Преданная революция»: тайное послание книги Аркадия Гайдара
Arkady Gaidar (1900-1941), a famous Soviet children's writer, created his own model of describing the Civil War and the heroism of children who took part in it, the revolutionary atmosphere, the struggle for the ideals of Bolshevism and against enemies, and at the same time, he managed to convey specific atmosphere that prevailed in the society in the 1920-30s.
His book "The Drummer’s Fate" was written in 1938, during the Great Terror, from which many of Gaidar’s friends suffered. Later this book will be recognized as a classic of children's and youth literature, but it will be banned for some time before it is published. The first version of the manuscript is considered to be lost, but the writer himself may have encrypted some message in his text, in a mysterious fragment related to the Great French Revolution.
