West Circassian expresses semantics of pain and close meanings both with specific verbs and with metaphorical expressions. The experiencer is most often expressed as the possessor of the localization of pain, which normally appears as the argument of the verb. Regularly, pain expressions employimpersonal verbs, which are, however, prone to reanalysis, since impersonal constructions proper are not typical for West Circassian.
