Концентрация населения и экономики в столицах постсоветских стран

Региональные исследования. 2017. № 1. С. 4–15.
Zubarevich N.

The article reviews factors and key trends of the population and economic development concentration in the capitals of 11 ex-Soviet states. Contradictory trends of the population concentration during the crisis period of 1990-th and since 2000-th are shown. The levels of economic concentration in the capitals as well as industrial output and investment concentration are extremely different and supplemented by the diversity of trends due to the infl of many factors. The higher level of housing construction and retail concentration is revealed for almost all capitals. Population money incomes inequality between the capitals and the whole country differs essentially and seems to be a signifi factor of labor migration to the capital or abroad.

Champion soliton emergence from bipolar solitary wave interactions in the Schamel equation
Flamarion M., Didenkulova E., Pelinovsky E., Physics Letters A 2026 Vol. 598 Article 132218
In this letter, bipolar solitary wave interactions in the Schamel equation are revisited numerically. Two simulation settings are considered: repeated collisions in a periodic domain, and the interaction of a positive solitary wave with a train of negative polarity solitary waves of equal amplitude. In the first case, when the amplitudes are comparable, the larger ...

HLA class I escape drives the evolution of SARS-CoV-2 in human populations
Ekaterina D. Riumina, Klink G. V., Alekseeva E. et al., PNAS, США 2026 Vol. 123 No. 35 P. 1–20
The role of escape from the cytotoxic T cell (CTL) response in SARS-CoV-2 evolution remains controversial. Here, we study the origin and spread of SARS-CoV-2 variants whose mutations reduce presentation by the HLA class I alleles common in human populations. We find that 35% of mutations that are characteristic of the variants of concern, and ...

Integrating grazing intensity regulation and livestock mobility restoration: A practical test for China’s next-generation rangeland policies
Li A., Agriculture, Ecosystems and Environment 2026 Vol. 412 Article 110676
Rangeland degradation is a global environmental challenge; however, intense debate persists between equilibrium (focused on the negative effects of grazing intensity) and non-equilibrium (emphasizing livestock mobility for adapting to climate variability) theories in rangeland ecology. In recent years, an integrative theory advocating the “coexistence of equilibrium and non-equilibrium” has emerged to reconcile this debate. However, ...

A New Recruitable E3 Ligase UHRF1 Supporting Targeted Protein Degradation: A Minimal Azide as a Recruitment Ligand
Gureev M., Advanced Science 2026 P. 1–13
Targeted protein degradation represents a promising therapeutic strategy, yet its broader application is often limited by the scarcity of usable E3 ligases. Glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPX4) is a key target for inducing ferroptosis, but achieving sustained and potent inhibition remains challenging with conventional enzymatic inhibitors. Herein, we report the first small‐molecule GPX4 degraders that incorporate ...

The common marmoset is a New World monkey widely used to study primate evolution and human disease. We present a telomere-to-telomere (T2T) reference assembly for the species, plus three near-T2T haplotypes. These resolve previously inaccessible regions, including the centromeres, sex chromosomes, subterminal satellites, acrocentric chromosomes, and the major histocompatibility complex (MHC). We find marmoset centromeres ...
