This monograph studies the thermal characteristics of urban habitats and analyzes the impact of urban morphology on the emergence of urban heat island effects (UHI), particularly in the context of high-density urban development, modern high-rise buildings and related sanitary standards. It presents comprehensive findings from theoretical and empirical research focused on minimizing the urban heat island effect. In addition, the work details the results of the experiment and establishes a solid methodology for evaluating the UHI effect in urban residential areas. This study clarifies the important role and impact of high-density vertical urbanization in aggravating this phenomenon. The study uses ENVI-met simulation software to quantify the intensity of the urban heat island effect (UHI). Moreover, the author developed a computational algorithm and a set of instructions for determining the operating surface temperature, proposing integrated methods to take advantage of simulated data in order to effectively manage thermal modes. The study provides strategic recommendations to improve the quality of life and environmental comfort in residential areas through optimal design and urban planning. These findings have significant potential in building legal and technical frameworks geared towards optimizing and restoring urban environmental ecology. This monograph is for engineers, urban planners, research scientists and students in the fields of architecture and civil engineering.
