The Model of extended learning (e-learning) widespread in the West and now national education system is associated with the introduction of a large number of technical innovations (technological innovation). The main problem of innovation in the organization is seen to overcome the resistance of the personnel. This is clearly seen in the research of learning management systems (LMS), which deals with factors of implementation and sources of conservatism. In contrast to this approach, the article examines the arguments in favor of the main problem of technological innovation in higher education is a violation of the educational process with questionable positive results in the future. Inaccessibility of positive results is justified by the organizational specifics of the university. This approach allows us to show the impossibility of solving the problems faced by universities, with the help of technological innovations introduced in view of the contradictory nature of these problems and the lack of binding to innovate to organizational efficiency.
