Road Injuries Leading Cause of Death Among Men Aged 10 to 39
Worldwide, road injuries are the leading cause of death among males aged 10–39. An international team of researchers reached this conclusion as part of the Global Burden of Disease Study 2023, analysing data from 204 countries between 1990 and 2023. Their findings have been published in The Lancet Public Health, with HSE University Professor Vasily Vlassov listed among the collaborators.

In this article author describes beginning of soviet conversion programm in ammunition industry in 1945. He shows, that conversion in ammunition industry start in fact in 1944 as result of several individual decisions. These decisions was initiated by economic and regional leaders of the average level. Right after war there was no accurate main plan of carrying out  of conversion. The conversion course in 1945 was determined by positions of industrial leaders. Especially strongly it was influenced by struggle between them for industrial capacities. This struggle pushed them to deeper and more consistent carrying out of conversion.
