‘This Format Turned Each Presentation Into a Collaborative Effort to Assess the Robustness of the Study
On October 16, 2026, HSE ICEF hosted the Eighth International Conference on Applied Economics. Held fully on-site, the conference brought researchers from HSE University, the New Economic School, Wuhan University, and Shandong University together in Moscow. The programme was organised around three overarching themes— ‘Environment, Resources and Policy,’ ‘Migration, Labour, and Communication,’ and ‘Consumption, Behaviour, and Climate—offering an opportunity to see how similar economic mechanisms operate in China, Pakistan, the United States, and Russia.

2026. № 4. С. 40–48.
Popova A.

The article addresses the current issue of integrating generative artificial intelligence models into the educational process. The professional competence of educators in constructing queries that ensure the methodological value of generated content is of particular importance. The purpose of the article is to describe the correlation between classical didactic principles (accessibility, systematicity, individualization, etc.) and key techniques of prompt engineering. The author clarifies the conceptual framework by introducing the term ‘pedagogical prompt engineering’, proposes a model of the step-by-step process of constructing queries (from analyzing the didactic task to critically evaluating the result), and demonstrates the alignment of didactic principles with the principles of prompt composition. The practical significance lies in the possibility of developing methodological recommendations for using AI to create educational materials, tasks, and assessments in teacher training. The relevance of the work consists in systematizing the relationships between didactic and technical principles.

«Аутсайдер литературного цеха». Дневник драматурга А.В. Сухово-Кобылина
Елена Пенская, Slavic Literatures (ранее - Russian Literature) 2026 С. 3–46
Sukhovo-Kobylin (1817-1903), a playwright, was ahead of his time; his harsh laughter, descriptions of absurd reality in the trilogy "Pictures of the Past" (1869) and prophecies turned out to be consonant with the turning points of the twentieth century. The synthesis of dramatic, tragic and comic (satire and farce), grotesque elements makes Sukhovo-Kobylin's plays one ...

Master’s education is now an integral part of higher education systems in almost every country. Yet this common designation encompasses a wide variety of programmes serving different purposes. Why has the two-cycle bachelor’s–master’s model become so widespread and enduring? The report argues that the key to the success of master’s education lies in its institutional ...

Proceedings of the 11th Workshop on Automated Knowledge Base Construction (AKBC 2026)
Association for Computational Linguistics, 2026.
While Large Language Models (LLMs) have revolutionized NLP, they remain prone to hallucinations, reasoning “mode-collapse” in open-ended generation, and a lack of factual provenance. The Automated Knowledge Base Construction (AKBC) workshop addresses a key missing piece of the generative era: structured knowledge. Knowledge Bases (KBs) serve as ground truth for fact verification, the semantic backbone ...

Buzanov A., Известия РАН.
Typologies of possessive systems usually distinguish lexical and semantic splits between inalienable and alienable possession. Much less attention has been paid to the next boundary on the extended scale, namely the boundary between alienable and super-alienable possession. This article shows that Tungusic constructions with the suffix -ŋ(V) represent a semantic realization of precisely this type ...

The paper describes the system of verbs of change in the Russian language against a typological background within the frame approach to lexical typology. In Russian, this system can be qualified as dominant: the imperfective verb menyat(sya) and its prefixed perfective derivative menyat(sya) cover most of the frames in the field. At the same time, in ...

The article introduces a thematic issue on the lexical typology of the semantic field ‘change’ and provides an overview of its structure and colexifi cation patterns. The study uses a frame-based approach, under which lexical meanings are analyzed through sets of recurrent situations (frames). The core of this approach lies in investigating cross-linguistic variation by examining ...

Paklina S., Parshakov P., Elena Rapoport, Scientometrics 2026 No. 131 P. 7611–7636
Generative artificial intelligence has become a routine part of academic writing. While much of the debate has focused on questions of integrity and authorship, less attention has been paid to how AI-assisted writing may affect research evaluation itself. This paper asks a straightforward but important question: does the use of LLMs in academic writing change ...

Generative AI and the uneven disruption of freelance labor: Exposure, diffusion, and adaptation under constraint
Tekic Z., Omelchenko Y., Dunaeva A., Technology in Society 2026 Vol. 88 Article 103464
Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) is reshaping work, yet evidence on labor market adjustment remains concentrated in Western economies and studies of global freelance platforms conducted under comparatively stable access to frontier tools. Whether disruption patterns associated with task exposure also appear under more constrained diffusion remains unclear. We examine the Russian freelance economy using transaction-level ...

Critical Success Factors for GenAI Digital Products: From Technology–Market Duality to a Technology–Market–Ethics Triad
Sorokin I., Tekic Z., Technology in Society 2026 Vol. 88 Article 103456
Generative AI (GenAI) digital products challenge established new product development and product success frameworks because performance after launch remains variable: outputs differ across runs and contexts, behavior can shift under drift, and realized value depends on user interaction, oversight, and governance at scale. Focusing on large language model (LLM)-based GenAI digital products, this study identifies ...

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into information technologies is reshaping competency requirements for IT specialists. However, AI competency penetration into the early phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) – requirements analysis and planning – remains underexplored. Existing studies either rely on static competency models lacking empirical validation or analyze the labor market ...
