«Евразийская Эллада»: этнософcкий образ будущего
The article discusses the visions of the future formulated within the framework of ethnoso-phy — a synthetic humanitarian discipline emerging at the intersection of philosophy, eth-nology, and cultural studies. The views of the Altai followers of ethnosophy are taken as an example. It is shown that ethnosophy as a phenomenon of modern culture is in many ways a kind of mythological thinking, and ethnosophy as a discipline studies the forms and manifes-tations of such mythological consciousness. Mythology remains a part of modern society and culture, adapting to new technologies and modes of information transmission, especially in those areas where the volume and nature of information does not allow for full coverage and critical understanding of it. Images of the future are part of ethnosophical views. It is noted that ethnosophical views of the future do not have a positive program. They are either directed to an idealized past, which is proposed to be restored, or they are stimulated by dissatisfaction with modernity, in which they see historical and social injustice, unresolved environmental problems, etc. The source of change is declared to be the processes occurring in the cosmos, which is endowed with the fullness of universal-absolute being. The expectation of a new epoch is also supported by the change of time periods (centuries, millennia) and a special, mythologized perception of time, in which past, present and future are mixed. The new his-torical epoch in Altai ethnosophy is designated as the white era or spiritual-ecological civiliza-tion. Ethnopedagogy and the system of predictions and prophecies should be attributed to the practical side of ethnosophy. Special importance in the preparation of a new era is given to Altai as a sacred territory and the indigenous population living there. Ethnosophy shows how mythological ideas are embedded in modern culture.
