Природные ресурсы, этнополитические конфликты и факторы риска устойчивого развития Демократической Республики Конго
The study aims to identify the mechanisms through which natural resources become a factor of political destabilization in the Democratic Republic. Congo (DRC). The methodology is based on an interdisciplinary systematic approach combining political science, demographic, economic and environmental analysis, as well as case and content analysis of specific conflicts (Bateke, Conflict in East Kivu). The results of the study show how resources become a catalyst for ethnopolitical conflicts through four key mechanisms: institutional, socio-demographic, ethnic and external. Environmental and climatic changes intensify these processes, exacerbating competition for land, water and other resources, provoking migration and ethnic conflicts. It is concluded that sustainable development in the DRC is possible only with the strengthening of state and political institutions, overcoming interdependent socio-economic and environmental challenges and threats.
